procrastination caused my own personal burn out with school and it caused so much anxiety about my academics as well. when we get into the habit of doing it now rather than later, we relieve so much stress— more than we actually realize too!

let’s begin !!

ᝰ.ᐟ think about all the stress

while there is a lot of stress when it comes to school, we have to consider how much stress we get when we procrastinate versus the stress we get from school in general. the stress we get just in general can seem like a lot, and it is a lot! but when we procrastinate, we just add onto the stress we already have and creating even bigger feelings about school that might turn into something that isn’t so easily manageable.

the difficulty level of certain classes

how much homework or studying you have to do

procrastination adds the stress of…

meeting due dates/deadlines

cramming an entire unit’s worth of material the night before an exam

a large pile of work you still have to do when all your due dates are on the same day

the possibility of turning in work that might not be your best and earning a failing grade

the possibility of losing silly points due to simple mistakes because you didn’t have an ample amount of time to study

the risk of turning in late work and losing points

not being able to balance your personal life with your academic career, risking burn out

notice how procrastination stress can come in a variety of forms? adding on that kind of stress on top of stress you might already be feeling will only continue to weigh you down, and the goal is to relieve that stress, not make it worse.

you have to consider the fact that procrastinating can only worsen your stress. “but i work best under pressure!” no, babe. you think you work better under pressure because you’ve got all this adrenaline rushing through you to get everything done, and exerting that much energy will only burn you out!

ᝰ.ᐟ how to stop procrastinating

use a planner

i’ve talked about the use of planners in a previous post, but i’m bringing them up again because they seriously are that useful when it comes to stopping that procrastination habit!

you’ll be able to plan out your day or even your entire week and get a look ahead for what’s to come. you can review your daily/weekly plans and start by setting aside a designated time frame for school-related work.

let’s say it’s a tuesday and you have the day off from work but you have a doctor’s appointment at 12pm and then you have to run errands that might take about 1-2 hours, so you’ll be out of your house between 11:30am to 2-2:30pm. but let’s also add in that you have a dinner with a friend around 6pm. set aside time from 3pm to 5pm to do homework or to study! when you review your plans for the day, you have to find time where you might have some downtime and use it towards schoolwork! wherever you have some downtime throughout your day/week, use that time to get to work!

prioritize tasks

create a check list from the most important to the least important! you can do this before you sit down and get to work or when you’re planning out your day/week. check due dates for assignments and see which ones need to be completed first and which ones you still have time for. make note of exam/quiz days and if you have a quiz for one class next week but a big exam the week after, prioritize the quiz for next week.

also when you do create your little check lists, work in sections! review all of your classes and see which ones take priority and which ones can wait. of course, it’s important to prioritize all of your classes as they’re all equally important, but when you plan out your day/week and you compile a checklist for every single one of your classes and assignments you can really quickly overwhelm yourself!

eat the frog method

i’ve seen this method be talked about a lot! if you’re unfamiliar with it, it’s basically (in really simple terms) doing the most difficult task first and working from there, leaving your least difficult task last!

this method helps to alleviate so much stress off your shoulders! getting the hardest assignment/task out of the way will make doing the rest of your work a breeze! and, once you get that most difficult task done, you don’t have to stress about it anymore!

remove any and all distractions

i mentioned this in a previous post as well, but if you have an iphone or any other apple product, you can create different focus modes that you can customize for different things! i’ve personally created a “study session” focus mode that i customized to only show homescreen pages that won’t cause a distraction and i’ve also set it so that i don’t receive any notifications. if you are able to do that, do it!

if you don’t have an iphone or don’t have a “do not disturb” feature, then simply silence your phone and keep it away from you. if you’re at home studying, maybe place your phone on the opposite side of the room or even put it in a completely different room. if you’re out at the library or any other place where you might study, tuck your phone into your bag.

get noise cancelling headphones! or work in a relatively quiet area! outside noises, whether it be noise from your family or noise from other people in a café or even noises like construction work outside, can cause a lot of distractions. your work/study environment should allow you to fully focus on what tasks you’re completing and different sounds/noises can lead to you losing your focus.

remember to take breaks

when you set aside time to do school work or study, you might feel the need to get it all done in one sitting. doing so can cause burn out, so you need to remember to take breaks!

especially when studying, i’d implement the pomodoro method (25min of work - 5min break, 50min of work - 10min break). of course you can use this method while doing homework as well!

i cannot stress this enough: take breaks. please! don’t overwork yourself. your mind seriously needs to rest from time to time.

change your mindset

how you think of school and the assignments/work that comes with it plays a huge role in your productivity level. if you consistently have that mindset of “i’ll do it later” or “i’ll do it when i have more time” you’ll quickly see the days go by and then suddenly deadlines are a day away or your big exam is the next morning!

if you can do it now, then do it! i mentioned earlier to work on schoolwork whenever you have downtime, and i mean it! your time is precious and it should be spent getting work done and accomplishing goals!

i also say over and over again that taking breaks is essential, but with this and making sure you get things done right when you have the time to do it, there needs to be a balance. you have to balance your personal time and productivity time because procrastinating on your own well-being is just as stressful as procrastinating on your academics.

i’ve fallen victim to procrastination, trust me when i say that! it’s a hard habit to break, especially when we don’t realize we have that habit! but it’s all about finding a balance between school and your personal life (and work if that applies to you!). when you give more of your energy towards one over the other, you lose potential good energy that could go into the other. you are your own priority, and i will always stand by that, but i know a lot of us value our education so we have to make sure that is also in our list of priorities. we all wish to succeed and starting off our success within our classes is the first step to achieving those bigger long-term goals!

How does your favorite hero act on Valentine’s day when they have a crush on you? masc characters edition ▷ fem version ▷ villain version Featuring: Katsuki Bakugo, Shouto Todoroki, Hitoshi Shinso, Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima, Izuku Midoriya, Tamaki Amajiki, Hawks, Shouta Aizawa.

Bakugo is even more passive aggressive towards everyone most of the day: it's because he's nervous. The two of you often spend time at each other's places but tonight it's different. He's planning to make you a nice dinner and, if it goes well, tell you he likes you. When you arrive, there's a cute simple bouquet of your favorite flowers on the table and the smell of your favorite food. He did well. Everything goes to plan and you end up making out on his couch half the night.

How to handle this: Please don't tell anyone, he can't deal with them making fun of him for being soft.

Shouto read a lot of romance mangas to come up with a plan. He tried to chose ideas from the ones with main characters that remind him of you so it looks like your options will be: the mall, ice skating, and/or a nice dinner. If you're up for it, he's happy to do all three (but good luck dressing for that.) He stole Endeavor's credit card for whatever you want to do (at this point it's not really stealing, Endeavor just had cards made for each of his kids because he was sick of not being able to find his own.)

How to handle this: He has the basic structure of a date laid out, you'll probably have to fill in the rest with him. That'll be fun though!

Shinso listened to Aizawa's advice to do something low key for you. A few days in advance, he asks if you're free then makes some 11am plans to meet at a coffee shop then stop by the book and record stores nearby. It's laidback and easy, you get to talk to know him a lot better and each of the stops gives you an idea of each other's taste in media. Neither of you wants the date to end, so you pick up some takeout and head back to your place to listen to the albums you bought (and maybe other things.)

How to handle this: Keep him caffeinated, he wants to keep talking and get to know you better but he's soooo tired.

Kaminari knocks on your door just after 6pm on Valentine's day wearing a shirt that says “I’m with [giant picture of you face]”, he had one made for you too! Surprise!! After a few cheesy pickup lines, he asks you to go to the arcade with him. At first you think he's joking, because his tone is the same as the bad pickup lines, but you quickly realize he's completely serious about all of it. When you get there, you discover he's surprisingly good at the claw machine and wins you more plushies than you can carry. He also likes playing lightly competitive games against you, but it's mostly an excuse to playfully bump/nudge you when you pass him at Mario Kart. As you're leaving, he asks you on a second date to play mini golf, then celebrates you saying yes by kissing you excitedly and knocking all the plushies out of your arms.

How to handle this: Just go with it. Some of it's a little cringe but in a fun dorky way.

Kirishima volunteered to work Valentine's day a few months ago. He'd still like you to be his Valentine though, so he asks if you'll go out with him the day before. Fortunately, you're free that evening and get dinner reservations somewhere you both wanted to try. It's cute, he walks you to your doorstep, and kisses you goodnight. While at work, he spends all of Valentine's day texting you whenever he gets a chance. You have so much fun talking all day that you invite him over to hang out after his shift ends.

How to handle this: He's already happy you gave him a chance and were willing to work with his busy schedule. Also, tell him he's manly, he'll love it.

Midorya wrote 56 pages of plans over the past half a year, detailing exactly how he'd like to take you out, where you might be interested in going, how he'll ask, and rankings of the best and worst gift ideas. In the end, he ends up asking you out a week in advance, hands sweating so much he could barely text. When he arrives at your door, he's dressed cute and hands you some pretty flowers. The two of you walk to a nearby cafe. Overall, the whole thing is really sweet, even if he's super nervous.

How to handle this: Hold his hand on the walk back and his heart might jump out of his chest.

Amajiki wrote you a four page love letter complete with the most beautiful poem to ever grace the planet. Unfortunately, even with his friends hyping him up, he couldn't work up the nerve to deliver it to you so it lives in a box under his bed now.

How to handle this: You can try talking to him, but he'll probably get scared. Maybe just start with acknowledging his existence and if he doesn't run away immediately go from there.

Hawks takes you to five different parties over the course of the evening. At first, you figured he was asking you as a date. By the end of it, you're not so sure because nothing about this evening has been particularly romantic. That is, until he kisses you at the last stop - making his intentions very clear.

How to handle this: He's so excited you said yes and wants to publicly show off that you're willing to be his date, let him and he'll do all the sweet stuff later.

Aizawa isn't up for a huge fancy dinner or anything like that. But he does know it's Valentine's day and he does want to do something with you. He invites you over to his house to hang out, orders takeout, and rents a movie. You're ten minutes into the movie when you look over…and- fuck, he’s asleep.

How to handle this: Honestly, he’d probably prefer it if you just let him sleep.

Calendar Tweaks Reworked Mod a bit to make it a little bit easier to handle. What I changed: You still need to manually allow Exam/Prom to be added via my Interactions. I recommend to do this between Sunday-Tuesday to make sure they get added correctly the next Friday/Saturday. You don't need to manually disable it anymore. ⛅ 15.02.2024 // not a great day honestly. It went really really well for most of the day, I was tired but motivated and full of energy and productive! I went to my lectures and studied biochemistry for 4h when I went back home.

But around 6pm my exams results were put online (and yes I don't have either the details of the grade nor the correction). I was expecting to be deceived as I know how my uni works and how unfair the grades can be. But yet, I was expecting to at least not have to retake this subject I worked really hard on. I don't understand any of this. At first I was reaaaally angry and some people were reaaaally really nice to me and it helped a lot (thanksss fr) but now I'm just feeling empty and tired (hey, it's the five stage of grief ig). I try to not listen to my thoughts, to stay busy until they fall silent. It'll pass within a few days but it's hard being a student nowadays ahah

DISTANCE IN VAUGARGE (revamped edition)

IMPORTANT: this post was deleted and made again to make edits and not spread misinformation (because i made a stupid mistake and took earth's entire circumference and accidentally treated it like it was only half of it! it's really funny because i did think that this feels way too big of a distance... happens i guess! especially at 4am lmao but it did uh, increase all the numbers by a whole Two so. unfortunate! gotta fix it!!)

@cyten0 (sorry to tag you again just figured you'd like an update and an actual correct answer, and you're still the one who inquired about this) asked if i could provide more information about my calculations for traveling across vaguarde, and since it seems too long for a reblog and i want to categorize it properly on my blog, here it is in a whole separate post!

this honestly started out as a curiosity about what climate the northern island could've had given its distance from the equator compared to earth's countries and uh. spiraled into me thinking about this. don't ever think about anything guys

TL;DR (for people who don't want the super fun math part): it's 1111.4 km/690.59 miles from dormont to bambouche in a straight line and somewhere in the ballpark of 250 hours of constant travel by foot to cross the distance. with a bonnie-ordained preteen-friendly tempo of around 5 km/h (3.1 ish mph) and eight hours of travel per day from 8am until 1pm and then 3pm to 6pm to set up camp properly early, it'd take around a month or so to make the trip, not counting any and all longer stays to refill supplies and any irregularities caused by going to a town and not having to set up camp or pack it back up.

ok quick geography lesson: the lines on the globe running horizontally are the latitude. they go up to 90 in each direction from the equator, which is 0, so there's a 180 in total. obviously for specific locations you'd use decimals but who caressss

longitude is important too here - the vertical lines - but less so. they go up to 180 on each side of the latitude's version of the equator, the prime meridian, as well but it really doesn't matter where that meridian is placed here, the only thing that matters is that the lines are in a correct distance to each other.

here's the globe id5, in her infinite wisdom, bestowed upon us (i'm completely normal about the existence of any and all maps. in the original post i said can be trusted with them but that is! clearly not the case!) that i added all the southern hemisphere latitude lines onto, as well as the longitude needed for my insane needs (math)

i obviously assumed the planet is the same size as the earth because i genuinely see no reason why it couldn't be other than to make my life sad and hell also. the general distance from one pole to another is 20,000 ish kilometers. (if you for some reason want the planet to be smaller or bigger, cool trick, literally just multiply the 20,000 by it. want it to be one third of its current size? multiply by 0.3. two-and-a-half times bigger? 2.5!) so what i did was draw out the lines onto the actual map and measure the estimated distance based on how big of a chunk it is out of this 20k.

it seems dormont is at about 19 degrees, while bambouche is at 11. easy here!

just divide the whole distance by 180 and you get 111.(1) km (that 1 in a bracket telling you that that one goes on foreeeeever if you let it). since we're looking for the distance of 8 degrees, and we've got a distance of one, you can either multiply it by 8 or subtract the one degree times 2 to get 889. ish. any decimals are the enemy here at this point.

you do the same for the other direction - both bambouche and dormont seemed to be about 2 degrees from the longitude lines, so you do the process with just multiplying by 6 at the end or subtracting the one degree times 4 and get 1333. ish.

it's pythagorean theorem time!! it looks like a lot of big numbers but they do that only to get added nicely, it's okay, they're not that scary and they don't bite pretty promise with a cherry on top, and you get the resulting distance of 1111.4 kilometers like that!

here's how it measures up in reality for some scale:

the average recorded speed of a preteen - which the party logically must move at most of the time - is about 5 kilometers per hour (3.1 ish miles). with a travel plan of 4 hours of travel since 9am until 1pm, a two hour break, and another 3 hours until 6pm, because you need to set up camp and things like that need time, it's safe to assume they'd be crossing around 35 km/h a day. and this is still a really good pace!!! very endurance-heavy! divide the total distance by that and you get an estimated time of travel in days, which here is 31; just around a month.

this is, while less than my initial busted calculations, still a lot! lots of walking. so i uphold my statement that they better have sent a letter to nille ahead of them and that the vaugarde postal system is robust enough to deliver it in a timely manner right after the entire country defrosted, to keep her from worrying to death!

Small synopsis: Since the edits and how close you got with Chris he has grown distant and you don't know why until he finally tells you. HAPPY ENDING.

Things were slightly different between you two but you couldn’t pinpoint why exactly. Every time you’d look at Chris he would almost immediately look away, you had been in one more car video since last time and Chris hardly looked at you or talked to you. Nick and Matt saw it too.

“So have I done something?” you ask Matt, who was playing fortnite in his room with you. “No, I don’t think you have”

You had lost a round to Matt in the time you had been there, “Well obviously I’ve done something because he can’t even be in the same room as me” you explained. Almost on cue Chris came walking into Matt’s room but froze once he saw you. “Hi Chris,” you said. He sent a smile before grabbing what he was after and left. “See!”

Matt and Nick didn’t know the reason why he was ignoring you but they had hunches. “I wouldn’t worry, he has had a lot on his mind recently that’s all” he said trying to reassure you but it wasn’t really working. It hurt you more than you let on, maybe it was the fact that you cared about him more than you wanted to admit or maybe you realised you liked him…no that’s crazy. Right?

You shook your head. “You know it isn’t that..it’s something else and you’re aren’t telling me”

Fortnite carried on for at least another hour until you got bored and wanted to get a drink. You know that they would be okay with you helping yourself to whatever you wanted so you went down the stairs and walked into the kitchen. There was soda and juices so you picked out a juice and poured a glass of it into your water. “Can you pass me a pepsi?” a voice said from afar making you dart your eyes to whoever said it.

You turned around and grabbed the last can of Pepsi and gave it to him, slightly brushing your fingers against his hand. He was wearing a hoodie and a pair of jeans “How have you been?” you said.

“Good,”

Chris started walking away before you grabbed a hold of his wrist forcing him to look at you. “Look, if I have done something to upset you then please just let me know. If I haven’t then tell me why you’re ignoring me”

You let go of his wrist but his eyes never left yours. “You haven’t done anything” is all he said before walking away up the stairs into his room. You knew something was wrong but you cared about him too much to pressure him into you telling you.

The party was at 6pm and you were currently in Nick's room getting ready. “So I either go for this-” he held up a black jumper with stars. “-or this” he now held up a black and red striped jumper. You pointed to the striped jumper.

He was wearing baggy black trousers and accessorised with a pair of shades. Now it was your turn to get changed. You picked out a couple of options but Nick picked out two choices, a red (to match his jumper) dress that has long poofy sleeves and a cut that was a sweetheart neckline the bottom was flowey or his second pick. A red mesh embroidery cami dress with a summer neckline.

You decided on the first choice and slipped it on along with a pair of tights. “What do you think?” you said. “Perfect, we are gonna be the best dressed people there” he joked. You smiled a little before sitting down on his bed.

Nick frowned before getting your attention. “Come on tell me what’s wrong”

“Nothing is wrong!” you replied but your voice was shaky trying to deny that your mind was currently running a hundred miles per hour with thoughts that only contained chris.

“Y/n I have known you for 6 years..since I was 15. I think I can tell when something is wrong” you let out a huff. “One word Chris,”

He slowly nodded his head. “Right,”

Nothing could stop you from thinking all about Chris. You knew him for years too and he always was there when you needed him but now it seemed like he was growing distant and you weren't sure why. “Let’s just go to the party,” Nick stood up and walked down the stairs with you as Matt was waiting on the chair with no Chris in sight.

“Is Chris coming?” Nick asked him and Matt pointed behind him. Chris was walking towards them but stopped once he saw you. He was wearing a white long sleeve, pink bottoms that had tree trunks and leaves on, a white beanie and a belt. Chris opened his mouth to say something but didn’t and just grabbed his jacket and headed towards the door.

You took a deep breath and followed Matt and Nick. Each of you took your normal seats in the car but the ride was silent most of the journey.

Once you arrived, Matt parked the car and you all got out and knocked on Madi’s door. She opened the door with a huge smile, her black dress complimented her hair. As soon as she saw you she gave you a big hug and her smile never left her face. “I’ve missed you so much! I’m glad you could make it”

Madi turned to hug each of the triplets before letting them in. The sound of music followed once they all entered the house and people were flooding each and every room. It was an influencer party so you were fine to go and there were some recognisable faces. Nick gave you a drink before you saw one of your other friends was there too, “Nathan!” you called out. He turned around and smiled once he saw you, you were really only close with the triplets but you did have some other friends. “How have you been?” Nathan asked.

That question you just couldn’t get away from. “I’m fine,” you bluntly said and took a swig of your drink. “You’re not I can tell” You rolled your eyes and pulled out your phone to hand to Nathan. He frowned before looking at it, there was chats from you and Chris..they all had the read mark but no reply from him. Nathan handed it back to you, “That’s not like him” was all he said. You decided to sit on the sofa (Nathan following) “I know! I feel like I’ve done something but everytime I try to talk he ignores me”

“Well he seems fine tonight,” Nathan told you and he pointed to Chris who was chatting to a brown haired girl and both of them seemed to be laughing. “Oh,” your voice was quiet. You didn’t know why you felt hurt by it, it was just Chris talking and having a good time and you seemed left out. Maybe it was the fact that he seems ignorant to you but was absolutely fine with a stranger. Taking another swig from your cup you turned to face Nathan and ignored whatever was happening with Chris. “Good for him. At least I know that he’s fine, now come dance with me”

Nathan took your wrist and the both of you started dancing to the music. Nick was currently talking to Madi and Matt was standing next to Chris and the girl he was chatting to. You were laughing and so was Nathan. A good time was finally happening and your mind let go and focused on you, Nathan, the music and lights.

“I’m gonna go to the toilet I’ll be right back,” Nathan told you, so you put your thumbs up at him in response. You grabbed another drink and put it to your lips until you noticed Chris glaring at you.

You were a tenacious person but Chris ignoring you wasn’t something you could let go. He started walking outside and sat beside the pool. Nathan eventually came back but you couldn’t stop looking at Chris. “So what do you think?”

“Huh? What did you say?” You put your attention back to him. “You weren’t listening were you? Anyway I was saying if maybe you wanted to go out for lunch”

You blinked a few times..unresponsive.

“As friends,” He added. You slightly laughed, “In that case sure”

You continued dancing before you couldn’t take it anymore. “I need some fresh air,” walking outside Chris was still sitting near the pool, once he saw you coming he started to get up. “Stay,”

Chris looked down and sat back down. Silence became deafening and finally someone broke it. “I’m sorry,” Chris spoke. You stayed looking at the floor but you were sitting next to him. “Okay”

“Is that it?”

You looked at him now. “Of course it is Chris! I’ve been wanting to fucking talk to you all week but everytime I try you walk away or ignore me so yes Chris that it is cause I am done with how you’re treating me” you yelled. It felt good to get it off your chest and luckily no-one else heard.

Chris stayed looking at you until he decided to take his beanie off and now look at the floor again. “I’ve had a lot on my mind and you wouldn’t understand”

“Let me understand..please. It pains me every time you act like this and I don’t know why”

“I-I can’t. I just can’t”

You scoffed at his sentence, “Of course you can’t. Don’t expect me to listen when you’re finally ready to talk” as you started getting up Chris grabbed your hand pulling you to a halt. “I am sorry”

You nodded your head and walked back inside sitting on the sofa. He was still outside but now Nathan was with Madi and Matt and Nick was nowhere to be seen. “Hey mads, have you seen Nick?” you asked her. Madi nodded her head and pointed to Nick who was now in the kitchen sitting on the countertop on his phone. You went over to him and leaned against the counter. “Are you having a nice time?” you asked him. “Yeah I guess I'm getting bored now though, you?” “Same” you agreed. Maybe it was the fact you had been dancing far too long and your feet hurt, maybe it was the pool conversation or maybe you just really were bored of the party. “I’m gonna get Matt and see if he wants to leave” Nick patted your shoulder before leaving.

Eventually, Matt came up to you with his jacket and bag on. “Are you ready to leave?” he asked and you nodded your head. Taking a last sip from your drink you followed him into the car. Nick and Chris were already there. Madi and Nathan had come out of the door waving goodbye at you and the triplets.

Silence filled the car for what felt like the hundredth time today.

Once you all got to the triplets house Matt had asked if you wanted to stay to which you said yes. Currently there was a movie playing on screen but Matt and Chris were upstairs leaving you and Nick alone. “Do you want more popcorn?” you asked him. “Yeah sure, and while you’re getting up can you get Matt and Chris down here please?”

“Will do,” You put the popcorn in the microwave and waited for the ding, once you heard it you put it in the bowl and placed it on the table. Walking up slowly to the stairs you stopped right in front of Chris’ room. You were about to knock until you heard your name mentioned in the faint whispers behind the door.

“Y/n can’t know Matt!” Chris said through exasperated breaths. “Yeah and y/n can’t keep not knowing either. You are pushing her away and you can just tell she won’t stop asking till you tell her” You could hear Chris mumble but you weren’t sure what he said. “I’m your brother, you're meant to back me up, not her!”

Matt scoffed, “I am backing you up but I can’t watch you hurt the only person who really cared about you and been there with you every step of the way. Come down when you have talked some sense into yourself”

Suddenly the door swung open leaving you standing there whilst Matt was in front of you. Chris was currently on his bed, “What are you doing here?”

“Oh..I..uh..Nick wanted me to get you guys downstairs” you stuttered. “Okay, I’ll see you guys in a bit then” Matt turned his head to look at Chris before walking away. “Did you hear anything?”

“No,”

“You’re lying, I can tell”

You widened your eyes before talking. “What? How?”

“You have a tell, everytime you lie your eyes quickly look down before looking back up”

Darn it.

“Okay well maybe I did hear something but you wanna know what I heard? You keeping something from me that obviously everyone else knows and it’s really bugging me how no matter how many times I’m trying to be there for you, you only ignore me. If it’s that important then tell me!”

Chris stayed silent..now standing up but had his hands in his pockets. “Chris..why are you being like this?”

“Just shut up please, I can’t cope with this”

You started growing impatient with him and his words. “Don’t ever say that to me, you can’t cope? Well get with the progamme buddy cause neither can I. Now you will tell me or I will fucking leave and-”

You felt something touch your lips..taken a back you looked at Chris in his eyes. He had kissed you. It was a quick simple kiss but still he had kised you. “You..you kissed me,” you stated. “Yeah I did,”

“Why?”

It was his turn to laugh now, “Are you this oblivious? I kissed you because I like you, I was ignoring you because I couldn’t deal with the fact I actually really like you. When you danced with Nathan it made my blood boil. I only want you and I want you to only want me” he explained. As a response you kissed him back but this time you melted into the kiss placing your hands on his neck, Chris' hands were trailing your body before stopping on your hips. “Why?”

“Are you this oblivious? I kissed you back because I like you too” You admitted as you copied his words. A smile finally formed on his face grabbing your hand into his, “So, what does this mean?” he asked. “Anything you want it to”

“Do you want to go on a date with me tomorrow?” you said to him. “Of course, now let’s go downstairs and finish this movie”

Walking hand in hand you went downstairs and sat back down on the sofa. “Made up did you?” Matt asked, Chris nodded his head and put his arm around the back of you. “About time,” Nick joked.

For the first time since he started ignoring you things felt right..they were right. Now he was your boyfriend and he couldn’t be happier.

[18+] Arceus, Help me!, A Donothon to replace my computer, continues!

Ironically enough, I, the disabled guy, suffered from my disabilities and had to take an extended break from the donothon to replace the one thing that provides me income. Oh well.

I'm Gordie, I'm agender, I stream video games on twitch, and my body hurts all the time. When I bought my computer in 2020 it felt like a good deal but after learning about computers and computer manufacturers I realize I was ripped off. Now I sit here with an out of warranty, cracked open, fire hazard. But this is where I ask for help.

If you missed this the first time, this is a donothon stream series where my goal is to 100% complete Pokémon Legends Arceus while my chat donates towards distractions that I will have to complete before I'm allowed to conclude the stream series. All proceeds go towards building a computer that will allow me to continue my job and have access to editing software.

Stream resumes tomorrow, Saturday, April 19, begins at 6pm est, and will run 2-5 hours every night until the game is done and all redeems have been honored. I'll reblog this post every time the stream starts so check the notes to see when I'm live.

It's weird sometimes writing love notes for past days. Today (the 6th) is so much different than the 3rd/4th and so I feel strange writing things when we all can change in a day. So tonight I'm going to mention something I'm seeing all week.... all the time even. I have watched you all from so many platforms this past week, and I continue to be in awe of you. I see people sending each other love notes from across the planet. I see artists who are drawing things JUST to help reduce people's anxiety and give them some distractions. I see people stepping out of their comfort zones and sharing WIPS because they want to make people smile in these hard times. No matter what happens in this world, you are the good in it.

Please remember to tell yourself that. So much kindness, to strangers, to moots, to acquaintances -- people you've met in person, to people you've never met but talk to online. You are the change this world needs. You are the kindness this world needs. They can't take that from you, only you have that power. You are strong, and you are brilliant, and kindness is your strength. Keep shining lovelies. You're doing all you can, and it makes such a huge difference in so many lives.

The date (Sofia Huerta x Reader)

As requested this is part two of Not my best idea

I'm hoping to start working through some of my requests, but don't hold me to that, life is a bit busy at the moment.

I'm sick so this is not really edited. Hope you enjoy :)

There was a knock on my door at exactly 6pm. Sofia was waiting on the other side with a single red rose. I smiled as she handed me the rose, feeling butterflies erupt. Normally, I was the one giving flowers or organising dates. It was a nice change, but not something I wanted regularly. I loved organising dates and spoiling the women I was taking out. It was my love language.

"How long were you waiting outside to get here right on time?" I teased as Sofia blushed.

"Maybe a few minutes. I'm sorry I didn't get you more than one rose. You deserve the best, but the shop I went to only had ones that didn't look great."

"Don't be, I kinda dig the one rose. Let me get my jacket and we're good to go."

"You uh look good by the way."

I took a second to look Sofia up and down, taking her in. She had on black jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and a black leather jacket draped across her arm. Sofia looked beautiful, even though it wasn't anything extravagant. I didn't really like fancy first dates or fancy dates in general so Sofia had reluctantly agreed to a more casual date even though according to Sofia, I deserved to be spoilt. It was a warm night so I followed Sofia's lead, draping my jacket over my arm before taking hers as well.

Sofia protested, telling me she could carry her own jacket, but I shrugged, cutting her off, "You look good too Sof, like really good."

She blushed, clearing her throat, "Thank you. Shall we?"

I laughed, arm wrapping around her shoulder, "You're cute when you're nervous. Let's go."

We walked down the street hand in hand. Sofia was trying her best to hide the nerves, but her twitching fingers, the way she kept wiping her spare hand on her pants, and the way she wasn't speaking, gave away her nerves. "You know I don't bite. Well, unless you're into that."

Sofia turned red, looking away briefly, "Sorry, you just make me really nervous."

"You already embarrassed yourself and I kissed you regardless, so there's no reason to be nervous."

She groaned, covering her face with her free hand, "You don't need to remind me. I just want to impress you."

"Oh no, that'll be my go-to story. I'm just a regular person, you don't need to impress me. If I wasn't already impressed with you, I wouldn't have agreed to go out with you so please just take a breath and try to relax. Think you can do that for me?"

"I can try."

We stopped at a Mexican food truck, each ordering our food. Sofia paid before I had the chance to protest. I hated people buying me things even if it was just food. I pushed that discomfort aside as best as possible to enjoy the date. It was something I could bring up later if needed. 

When we sat down to eat, I asked Sofia a few questions about being a professional athlete and her love for soccer. Knowing she was nervous, I decided to ask easier questions for now until she relaxed a bit. The more in-depth or family questions could wait. Sofia rambled on about her job with me listening intently. I was genuinely interested in what she had to say. The slight rasp in her voice already sucking me in. I knew I could listen to her talk for hours and not get bored.

Sofia's cheeks flushed light pink when she realised my attention was completely on her, "Sorry. Enough about me, what about you? Why did you become a lifeguard?"

"Don't apologise, I like hearing you talk about it. I can see how much you love what you do. Um, I never actually planned on being a lifeguard, it's only been a few months, but I enjoy it more than I thought."

Talking about myself felt awkward, something I was never very good at. I knew I should say more, I just kinda clammed up due to the awkwardness and not knowing what to say. It was definitely easier when more specific questions were asked.

Sofia giggled in response before asking, "What did you do before being a lifeguard? I assume you were doing something being 2- actually, I don't know how old you are. Sorry that was kinda rude wasn't it?"

I laughed at her getting flustered again. Some people probably would have found it rude how she asked. I was just entertained.

"You're okay. I'm 27 by the way. I was a wedding/family photographer before, well I still am and I'll go back to it. I just needed a bit of a break. Being a photographer is great, I do genuinely love it, but I was fully booked most of the time, traveling to many different states constantly. It got a bit overwhelming, I was burnt out and exhausted. Obviously, you need money to live so I couldn't just quit. My aunt owns this hotel and when I confided in her how I was feeling, she offered me the lifeguard job for as long as I wanted it. So yeah, I'll go back soon, maybe experiment with a different kind of photography while I have this job as a backup."

Sofia winked, squeezing my hand, "You make a very attractive lifeguard. Bet you're just as attractive with a camera. Maybe you should try sports photography. In all seriousness, I'm glad you got the break you needed, I understand how exhausting traveling can be. I would love to see some of your work sometime if that's okay?"

"You flatter me Sof. I have actually thought about sports photography, maybe you can be my practice. Also, I have a whole Instagram of my work you can look at."

"I would love to be your practice."

We spent another ten or so minutes at the food truck, Sofia scrolling through my Instagram while I sat there awkwardly due to the compliments. After a while, Sofia took my hand, dragging me away from the food truck. I managed to tone down my excitement when we stopped outside the arcade. "How did you know I liked arcades?"

"Um, I may have stalked your Instagram."

"Stalker."

For being a professional athlete, Sofia was surprisingly bad at throwing a basketball. I stood behind her, hands covering her hands, guiding her to throw the ball into the net. Sofia jumped excitedly, picking up the next ball.

"You're not pretending this time are you?"

"Unfortunately not."

My hands trailed down to her hips, settling maybe a little lower than they should. Sofia didn't stop me, instead leaning back into me. "Try yourself now."

Sofia missed again, leaning back into me with a groan, "How are you so good at this?"

I shrugged, guiding her to throw the ball again, "I dabble."

"In basketball?"

"Also volleyball and boxing currently. Soccer when I was a teenager."

"Wow. Where do you play?"

"It's just fun, mostly with my friends, sometimes like a fun community thing. I used to play more seriously in high school."

We spent a few hours at the arcade, playing all the games and getting to know each other. Touches became more frequent and confident on both sides as time went on. There weren't any proper kisses yet, only a few cheek or hand kisses. Don't get me wrong, I really wanted to kiss her and her lingering looks on my lips gave me the idea she wanted to as well. We were in public though so I decided to wait. PDA wasn't really my thing. Sofia was also a public figure which meant we had to be a little more careful.

It was about 10:30pm when we decided to head back. Sofia had the day off tomorrow, but I still had to work from mid-morning so I didn't want to be out too late. Sofia leaned against the wall of the hotel, playing with my fingers. "I had a really good time tonight. Do you want to come back to my room?"

I stepped closer, practically trapping her against the wall. "Me too," I whispered, leaning in capturing her lips with mine. My hand rested low on her hip, hers cupping the back of my neck as I deepened the kiss. Sofia's tongue ran along my lip, trying to coax them apart, but I pulled away before she could. "You are making me blur every boundary I created for pre and post-first dates."

"Sorry."

"No, you're not."

Sofia smirked, leaving a lingering kiss against my lips, "Not really. You're fun to be around and an incredible kisser Y/n, but I also don't want you to do anything you don't want to do or aren't ready to do."

"I never would, you'll soon learn I'm very stubborn. I'll come to your room, but things stay PG 13."

"Deal."

"Can I see you again?" Sofia asked, playing with my hair as I lay next to her, head resting on my hand so I could down at her.

"You're fun to be around, I really enjoy spending time with you-"

Sofia frowned before smiling sadly, "There's a but coming isn't there? It's okay if you're not interested in anything more than tonight, I had a great time regardless."

"No, it's not that, I would love to see you again. This isn't necessarily a deal breaker and I probably should have thought about this sooner. I know you're staying in the hotel for camp or whatever, but where do you actually live? Like uh, how far away are you from me?"

She giggled, pecking my lips quickly, "I thought I was the nervous one. To answer your question, about 25 minutes with no traffic."

"Wait really? Why are you staying at a hotel then?"

"Camp rules, better for team morale and bonding."

This time I leaned down, initiating a mini make-out session. It had been a week or so of knowing Sofia and I already knew I was screwed. I was drawn to her, she made me giddy and touchy. She was also a really good kisser, I already didn't want to leave. "In that case, I would love to see you again on one condition."

"What's that?"

"You let me plan the next date."

Sofia kissed me softly, "Anything as long as I get to do that some more."

Sofia and I had talked for a while last night before falling asleep cuddled up. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see her this morning because I had to get ready for work. As much as I wanted to wish her a good morning, I had managed to slip out without waking her, sending a text to assure her I had just bailed on her.

About midday, the group of women I was used to seeing entered the pool area, each claiming their lounger. My eyes met Sofia's sending her a soft smile as I approached the group.

"Good morning ladies, how are we today? Can I get you anything?"

"Morning Y/n, all is good. Are the umbrellas out today?"

"That was next on the list, I'll grab them for ya now."

Emily smirked, nudging Sofia's shoulder, "Sof will help."

I guess they didn't know about our date. It wasn't a big deal, I figured Sofia would tell them when she was ready. I chuckled turning to Sofia, "You don't have to, I got it."

Sofia looked at me for a second. A small, slightly shy smile was present before she spoke softly, "I don't mind."

Once we were away from the group, I discreetly squeezed her hand, "How did you sleep beautiful?"

Sofia smiled, squeezing my hand again, "Amazingly. You should know, you were there."

"Sorry, I had to slip out early. I didn't want to wake you up on your day off."

Sofia's hand rest on my arm, seemingly not caring if anyone saw, "It's okay. Was a bit disappointed not to get a kiss when I woke up. Maybe you could make that up to me now?"

"What about them? I assume they don't know about our date."

"They don't, but that was so they didn't annoy me about it while I was so nervous. Please don't tell them about how it happened yet. I can't face that yet."

I laughed, already imagining how much fun it would be to expose that down the line. However, right now Sofia was looking up at me expectantly. I cupped her cheek, lips connecting in a lingering kiss. I heard yelling from behind us as I pulled away, pecking her lips one more time. "That's all you get because you're technically a customer right now and I will get in trouble if I get caught."

Sofia pouted, but I refused to give in, shaking my head in response. Just because my boss was my aunt, doesn't mean I wouldn't actually get in trouble. "Fine. Do you want to come over again tonight?"

"I would love to."

We made our way back with the umbrellas, instantly being interrogated by Emily. "What the fuck did we miss? How did you go from a stuttering, red mess to kissing her overnight?"

Sofia shrugged, "We just talked after you guys left yesterday then ended up on a date last night."

Unfortunately, more people started showing up so I had to go back to my spot. I would have loved staying there with her and her team, but getting to watch her relaxing in a bikini, knowing I got to be with her after work, made it more tolerable.
